Beachy BBQ Burger
The name really just screams summer, doesn’t it? While you might have your go-to meat for grilling, pay attention to the meat mixture in this recipe.
You’ll be using a half sirloin, half ground chuck mix. The sirloin gives the burger a distinct taste while the chuck preserves the juiciness.
For the burger, you’ll need:
- 1 1/2 lbs of sirloin and ground chuck each
- 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
- 3/4 teaspoon of pepper
Gently combine your ingredients and separate into eight five-inch patties. Grill them up how you prefer, melting a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty.
For the finishing beachy touch, top with grilled red onion and pineapple slices.
Mediterranean Burgers
One of the best burger ideas is also the simplest: make sure you use unique burger toppings!
Add six ounces of feta cheese, two teaspoons of both fresh minced oregano and rosemary, salt, pepper, and one tablespoon of lemon zest to 1 1/2 pounds of ground lamb.
After cooking them how you like, top with kalamata olives, more feta cheese, and tzatziki sauce for one of the most unique burger recipes out there.
Beans and Rice Veggie Burgers
Burgers are popular – Americans eat around 14 billion every year – but what if you don’t want meat? Here’s a unique burger sure to please even meat eaters.
Mash up a 15 ounce can of black beans and combine it with 1/2 cup of cooked rice. Add a small yellow onion and a clove of garlic that have been sauteed till translucent.
Next, put in a cup of corn, one teaspoon of salt, cayenne pepper (to taste), and a 1/3 teaspoon of chili powder. Taste your recipe to make sure it has the flavor you want.
Mix in one egg and 1/3 cup of breadcrumbs. Form into patties and grill for two minutes on each side.
Bonus tip: if the patty breaks when you try to flip it, leave it on a little longer.
